Dr. Rose has his degree in Periodontics and also in Medicine.  He has written many articles and speaks often on the Oral Systemic Link, relating Periodontal Disease to Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, and Pre-term low birth weight babies.        

Dr. Cohen pioneered the theory that periodontal disease relates to overall health.  For this reason he is known as the "father of modern periodontics".  He has been involved in research and has written many articles on the subject .
